yes it is true. but this is true 400 million of years ago. Using fossil records of corals, it has been estimated that a day was only about 8 hours long. The theory is that the slower revolutional and gravitation force of the moon is actually slowing down the rotational speed of the earth.
as in your case, its not that longer. Its all relative

It just seems that days are shorter, they're still 24 hours long and that's how it's been for quite some time. You probably have more on the go these days than when you were a kid- work, more responsibilities, more stress, etc.
I know the feeling though!

Time is a relative concept. As a child we didn't depend on a clock to tell us what to do. Now as adults our day depends on the time therefore we are paying more attention to it making it feel as if the day flies by!

The older you get, the less time we seem to have. We have more to do, more responsibilities.
