Many of the physical features from different races are related to the environment in which they are from. For example, dark skin occurs in people inhabiting hot sunny places to protect them from the sun. Asians (the ones who are generally called oriental) are also called Sinodonts meaning "Chinese teeth" in latin. Their teeth are somewhat distinctive and are used by anthropologist to distinguish them from other people. According to language studies, Sinodonts are descended from people from Tibet. Tibet is an environment with two main features, sun and cold. Sinodonts, (my theory) have black hair and brown eyes because they needed melanin to protect them from extreme ultraviolet solar radiation in the high elevations of Tibet. Melanin is the pigment which absorbs harmful radiation and protects us from the solar radiation. "Asian" or Sinodont eyes also have an extra layer of fat to help protect them from the cold and gives their eyes thier almond shape. Due to the extreme environment from where they came from, they were probably sometimes isolated by mountains, climates, and glaciers and they developed their features to enable them live in their extreme environment.

OK, let's say not all, but most....
It has something to do with who is going to have sex and who doesn't. And that has something to do with what is considered to be attractive and what is not. And in good old human fashion, everything that mutated and looked different than what was considered standard thinking had been "eliminated", or at least didn't get a chance to propagate.
Some cultures who had isolated themselves for 1000's of years (like Oriental ones) were more close-minded in this manner than cultures that naturally migrated and mingled a lot (like European).

By Asians, which group of people and what country do you mean? Look at the map of Asia and I believe you will be more precise in the manner that you phrase your question.

Genetics, just as Russia is filled with blue-eyed blondes. Only dark hair is dominant, so if a Russian had children with a non-Russian brunette, their children would be more likely to have dark hair, whereas if an Asian married a non-Asian blonde, they would still be more likely to have dark hair.
