Iam going to college to become a High School Theater teacher, but I am unsure what sort of demand there will be for that career. Does anyone know if this is a ideal route, or should I do something else?

Question for Teachers. Why did you opt to get a Master's Degree? If you don't have it yet, is it a good idea to get one? Why?

- Why did you have to take pre-cal in the past?
- What is it useful for?
- What topics are the ones that I'll use again?
-Why do we have to take this class?
-How has math helped you w/ your work?
-What technique from pre-cal class helped you to understand a concept or result that doesn't make sense w/ out math?

plz take it seriously. thnks!

I'm considering taking English Language and TESOL jointly at University and I'm wondering if this would be enough to qualify me for a job teaching TESOL either overseas or over here? I've never actually learnt much of another language, so apart from very few spoken Japanese phrases, I'm stuck with using only English.

Since minority students, particularly boys, are failing in American public schools, why doesn't the TEACHER'S UNION care or incorporate "student rights" into their contracts?

Is it purely racism/discrimination or "business as usual/ignorance"?

I am teaching a college course -- I want to give the students a final grade which is comprised of 50% for the final exam, 30% for the mid-term exam, and 20% for class participation. Unfortunately, I am so math impaired that I cannot come up with a formula for doing this (I am not teaching a math course) although I am sure that it is relatively simple. The mid-term and the final will each have a numeric score. Thanks for any help.

I'm doing supply in primary schools and am struggling to find/think of one off PE lessons for kids from reception to Year 6. There's normally no planning in place for PE so I have no idea where the kids should be on the sylabus, therefore a one off lesson is the best option. I'm okay for warm up (traffic light game) and have tended to do relays in the past (teams) but I could do with some alternative options. Does anyone have any ideas for fun one-off games or actiivities or suggest some decent websites with ideas on?

When I was in High school I had a teacher She was struggling to have children and had a so-so relationship with her husband. I was having a very bad relationship with my Mother so when that teacher started giving me lots of attention I was happy. She'd read my poems and cry..or she'll tell everybody about my brightness and she would even talk to me about God and pray for me in school. I was going thru depression because of family problems and She would put sad songs in class that would talk about mother and daughters!! I'd step out of the classroom in tears..and then she'd give me comfort. This went on for a whole year. After I got out of her classroom I started feeling better..not depressed anymore etc.. I stopped talking to her because I didn't feel ok being around her. Was this wrong? Was she doing good or what?
