How do I calculate a student's grade based on the following criteria?

I have included some fake grades in each category.

4 tests are worth 60% of final grade
75, 83, 72, 86

1 quiz worth 10% of final grade
87

9 homework assignments worth 10% of final grade
7 assignments turned in/passed

4 concert papers worth 20% of final grade
3 concert papers turned in/passed

How would I calculate the homework and concert paper sections?

Finally, how would I calculate the final grade.

Thank you!

Everyone says that teachers don't make that much money and I do agree that they don't make a lot but I think that they make the kind of money that someone can live on. if you think of it Police Officers and so many other professions make the same amount of money or lower than a teacher but, everybody picks on the teaching profession.

Every year, more and more students arrive at my high school reading on a 4th grade level and only being able to handle 3rd grade math. I don't get it-our state emphasizes these subjects in the lower grades and has lots of standardized tests, but somehow I keep getting new ninth graders who can't spell, have no concept of grammar, don't know their multiplication tables and have very limited vocabularies! Any ideas out there?

I am an Egyptian English teacher. I teach English as a foreign language to high school students in Egypt. As you know that our native language is Arabic. My question is: is it necessary to explain the whole lessons in English? Am I allowed to use Arabic during the explanation to clarify some points? Keeping in mind that if I explained the lesson 100% in English, many students would miss some points during the class, so what is the right thing to do?

I am a private English teacher. I teach English as a foreign language to high school students in Egypt. Sometimes I find many grammatical and linguistic mistakes made by the teachers of my students at their schools. What should I do in that situation? To be 100% honest and tell them that their teachers are mistaken even though that would make the students never trust their teachers any more or not to tell the truth in order to protect their teachers' fame? Please tell me the right thing to do.
