I have such a diverse population in my classroom that I find it very difficult to want to get into detail about EACH religious holiday during this time of year. Is it wrong for me to just stick to teaching reading, writing, and 'rithmetic??

Hi. I'm currently a theatre major in the Midwest. However, I am thinking more and more about becoming a high school teacher of drama, speech, and English. My goal is to live in or near Boston.

I was wondering if it is necessary to have a teaching degree in Masschusetts, or if one can teach with a teaching certificate. In my state, you can teach with just a certificate; however, each state is different.

I do hope to eventually get a Masters in Education or Theater Education. I would like to get some teaching experience before that, though.

I have tried to do some research, but it is so hard to find solid information!

Any other information would be helpful as well. Thank you!

We have a child in kindergarten, so we are new to this. How do you handle Christmas presents for the teacher and the teacher's assistant? Do you get them the same gift, or do you spend more on the teacher?

I am a straight A student, yet recently I have been recieving low A's!!! All my friends have the easier teachers, whereas unluckily I have all the hard teachers (teaching the same subject). I am really upset that this is going to affect my rank. Does anybody have any good techniques in which i can use to persuade the teachers to give me good grades, or even earn them myself and recieve high grades for it. Should I pray? HELP ME!!!

I am a grad school student and on the side I do part time tutoring for low income kids. There is a girl in particular that is severely behind in school and I have been closely working with her to get her on track. I have gone above and beyond my role of tutor (which is free by the way). I have given her special attention, extra sessions, and more. I talked to her mom, stressing how crucial it is to read with her at home, and go over things I tell them to do, but each and everytime THEY DON'T! I find it so frustrating that she doesn't listen to me that I am ready to almost give up. What can I do? This little girl is alarmingly behind and I am more than willing to help, but the mom will not listen to me and each session she comes in with the work undone and lessons unlearned. Help!!!!

Help me please.

I need to define these three terms. Then I have to classify different titles/groupings to fit into each of them (in social studies).

The one I am REALLY stuck on is which of the three "urbanization" would fit into.

Thanks

Its Christmas time so I was thinking I could do something cute with that. Any ideas? I have 24 students so something that is not TOO pricey. Any suggestions will help! Thanks
