ie: using internet acronyms and phonetic equivalents such as:
b = be
ur = you are
cuz = because
r = are
lol, etc

How do the teachers feel about it?
Can students go back and forth between proper grammar and lazy grammar?

I want to apply for this job and it says if you love working with children then call us, but nothing about education requirements. I wasn't sure if you had to have a bachelor's for this or not. Thanks!

I'll soon be graduating with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, but I no longer have the desire to teach elementary school.

I hate the prospect of being so restricted by state standards and school district regulations. I can't help my students in areas they are struggling with, simply because the school and government require so many other things. I don't want to spend the school year focusing on what the students need to know to pass a test to make the school look better. I also dread being up to my ears in lesson plans, and having to juggle curriculum and classroom management.

Still, I'd love to work with children. I volunteer with a animal welfare group, in which I visit schools to teach kids about different kind of animals. I'd love to integrate teaching with animals and nature, but I kind of need a job that pays, not a volunteer job. I also love working with art and music.

I have this really nice teacher who I've known for over a year now. He happens to be of the opposite sex, and people have teased me about having a crush on him because we get along so well together. I actually have a brother his age, so I don't feel like there's that big "boundary" gap there. I have no feelings for him besides respect and friendship, and nothing inappropriate is going on. We talk, but not about anything that neither of us is uncomfortable with. I don't care what people say, so I don't plan on not talking to this teacher anymore because people pervert things.

He happens to run several of the clubs I am in, however (which is how I got to know him so well), and lets a bunch of people come into his room sometimes for lunch. Since Christmas is coming up, would it be inappropriate if I bought him a present like a book (under 10 dollars)?

Just curious...

Thanks!

I have heard that it is similiar to the ACT. For those who have taken the test, what do you have to have to pass.

In the UK, how much money can I charge for a piano lesson for beginners (children and/or adults)? I am in the North West. Any ideas? Would you, as an adult, want to learn to play the piano from absolute scratch?
