A Christmas mug filled with candy.
A package of pencils and pens in different colors and patterns.
A hand-made Christmas ornament.
A gift card for a movie, dinner, coffee.
A mug and several types of tea bags.
A pin with either a Christmas theme or a winter theme.

I think homemade gifts are the best - especially if your daughter helps to make them. I used to make homemade ornaments for teachers when I was little. You can get clear glass bulbs, open up the top and add drops of paint. Then roll the bulb around to swirl the paint. After it dries, use a metallic paint marker to write a Christmas message on the outside.

You can also make homemade cookies and put them in decorative tins. Or, you can fill bags with ingrediants to make soup, cookies, hot chocolate, etc.

Homemade gifts or gifts with a purpose would be best. Things that have absolutely no purpose end up just sitting around, and most teachers already have plenty of clutter. Get something that can be used, consumed, or spent.

No more #1 teacher mugs! I love useful gifts like packs of note cards ( to write thank you notes for all the Christmas presents) and fun stationary, colorful pens, stamps....
