Try looking at the national geographic website and the Discovery.com website. Both of these sites have tools and links that will help you create good fifth grade lesson plans. Also, you ight want to build an introductory lesson plan around a unit theme such as the Gold Rush for fourth grade California history or the Civil War for fifth grade history. Edhelper.com is another great tool and has many helpful tips for people that are unable to pay the fee. However, if you are willing to pay the fee it is only about $20 dollars for an entire school year. I really loved using this site because I good put the vocabulary words for a unit in and create cross word puzzles and word searches. I hope these ideas help.
