Hi,
I am trying to find information about the states that have reciprocity with an Ohio teaching license. I particuarly need to know if an Ohio teaching license can transfer to Minnesota and if a Montana license transfers to Minnesota. I am graduating soon and need to figure out what steps I can take to teach in Minnesota.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
John

I have taught in three different states. In my experience you need to contact the state DOE and find out from them. Then contact one of the state universities which offer and education program and get the information again from them. The reason I say to do both is that sometimes the representative at a university will know ways to get around the state requirements. It is always best to have two opinions. The states I have taught in have honored a current teaching license from another state, but also required me to take a few other courses to meet their own requirements. I was always given several years to get this done.
