We are seeing some teachers spoil the system for many other great teachers but we must face the facts the women are not meeting the national standard tests and most of our children are losing respect for what it takes to be competitive and courageous under such demands. All I here is the demand for more money and that the No Child Left Behind Act is not working but as a whole the entire American public school system is seeing the results that are coming from many school districts across the nation. Science and Math are in high demand and we know that most women are weak in these areas with also plays a cognitive and analytical part of our children's psyche. Point blank it is time for the men to stand up and regain what "mother nurturer" cannot fix which is problem-solving skills. Our children need a more structured form of teaching that strong-hand that is not being provided with women teachers...this is not woman bashing it is just the facts and we as Americans must rise up as men

Do you talk to the teacher often? Do you go to the school?
Are you happy with the school itself? What if your child has a problem with another student or the teacher?
Thanks

I usually take about 1 and a half to two hours to read 30 pages while highlighting at the same time. Is that too slow? Any suggestions to speed up my reading while fully or almost fully understanding the material?

OK, here's the scoop: A friend of mine told me that her grandson is struggling in reading and writing, and that he might fail kindergarten. She told me that his teacher said he is a bad writer, reader, and overall student. She enlisted my help, and I have an idea on how I can help since I have been a "tutor" since middle school. However, I want your insight on how to help a five-year-old who is struggling academically. What can I do to help him? What all do you suggestion? What worked for you? Thank you in advance. :)

I live in New Orleans and when Katrina hit I was 16 about to turn 17. I was in school and I wasnt doing that well in school. But I was going to try to bring my grades up. When we left we went to Mississippi and then we found out that the house was gone and we had to stay in mississippi for awhile. I signed up for school in mississippi. I went to school and hated it people out mess with me about losing my house and stuff. So I dropped out and said I was going to get my ged. Im now 18 and we are back home so im going to get my ged soon. But I wanna go to culinary arts cook and become a chef in new orleans. But with a GED would I get accepted to a school? Thanks

my eight year old helps because he is very enthusiastic about learning. I wish my other family members felt the same, I clip the box tops and beg them to not throw them away but they absentmindely do so all the time, each top is worth .10 to your school. what incentive do you think i can use to get my hubby and other kid to not discard them so thoughtlessly?

since there are so many spanish speaking people in the U S do you feel that by law our children should be taught spanish in the schools.Because my daughter can't communicate with her other friends and she feels left out when her classmates can speak a laugage that she don't understand. The school she attends speak both American and Spanish. The school in California, some teach it as part of the program how do you feel. I am a mixed person and I can't communicate with my fathers people because I don't know the lauguage. What do you think and how can I make this a law. It's not fare for the American people to complain about the Mexicans, it's only because we can't communicate with eachother. Don't you feel the goverment should force the issue of teaching another laugange in our schools? Look at the Iranians they open up stores in the mexican name and they speak spanish. All other countries make it manditory for their people to speak another laugange and English. Please answer me.
