Has anyone been on class mates.com and did you ever go to your class reunions? How did it turn out?

I did get ahold of two of my classmates and i was just wondering if it was someone from the company writing me trying to get me to join the classmates, and pretending it was my old friends.

Yes, I've been to classmates.com. It helped me hook up with an old friend.

I have used classmates but personally I dont like it. Most of the people that I would like to talk to do not have paid accounts so you cannot contact them. I also would rather not pay for it and I do not like the constant emails telling me that "32 new people have joined from your school!" Most of the time they are from graduating years that do not even come close to mine.
I tried to unsubscribe and couldn't do it.
As for class reunions, you can go without using classmates.com. I chose not to go. My friends and I decided that we already talk to the people that we wanted to keep in touch with. We just did not feel the need to go. My mom always went to her reunions, though and she loves going.

I joined once. A third of the adresses they had for people bounced, and another third didn't reply. That annoyed me so much I devoted a small section of my personal web site to my old class. About 100 people - out of 600 possible - are on it.
I went to my 15th, 25th, 30th, 35th and 40th. The DJ ruined my 25th.
I enjoyed them, save for the DJ.
