We are seeing some teachers spoil the system for many other great teachers but we must face the facts the women are not meeting the national standard tests and most of our children are losing respect for what it takes to be competitive and courageous under such demands. All I here is the demand for more money and that the No Child Left Behind Act is not working but as a whole the entire American public school system is seeing the results that are coming from many school districts across the nation. Science and Math are in high demand and we know that most women are weak in these areas with also plays a cognitive and analytical part of our children's psyche. Point blank it is time for the men to stand up and regain what "mother nurturer" cannot fix which is problem-solving skills. Our children need a more structured form of teaching that strong-hand that is not being provided with women teachers...this is not woman bashing it is just the facts and we as Americans must rise up as men

Wow don't tell my daughter that she is suppose to be weak in science and math. Seeing as she scored in the advance category when she took her state tests. By the way advance was the highest one could get!! Don't tell her math teacher who went into shock when she was able to do a radical formula with out using a calculator while all the other kids including the boys used the calculator.
The problem might be that everyone is expecting the males to be the ones to excel and they are not interested.
Can't say they don't know anything about the subject seeing as my son also was advanced. Put not interested in pushing papers!
This is fact!

Not only are you a moron your a sexist one at that. As for women being weak in the areas of math and science Men are traditionally weaker in comprehension and problem solving which are both the beginning steps in any learning foundation. Not to mention multi-tasking which men run a far second to women.
To me you sound like a disgruntled out of work teacher who doesn't have the qualifications to get a job.

Do you mean a man like you who has problems distinguishing between homophones and can’t punctuate his sentences correctly?

My students excel in math and science as well as technology, geography and history; all areas people like you seem to consider the realm of the men. None of the students of the male teachers in my school can come close to my students when it comes not only to understanding facts, but when it comes to applying them also.

The problem is with the system, not with the fact that a majority of the teachers are women.

Seems fishy, you could simply establish new policies rather than just replacing teachers based on sex.

Plus then if men can't do it what'll we have to do? Turn to robots?

Women aren't the problem, it's an inherent system flaw.
