My daughter is 4 years old and I just recently had a conference with her 4k teacher and her teacher told me that she had problems with letter and number recognition and that I needed to work with her more on that. Well I've been trying and I've come to realize that she is not grasping it very well. I'm trying to teach her and she just seems to get really frustrated because she is unable to grasp it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do or if there are better ways to teach her? Is it possible that she's just not ready?

My seven year old son who is in Year 2 has a news day once a week. We are running out of interesting subjects...any suggestions? Trips or outings are good, but we don't have one every week. He says a lot of the kids just bring in their latest toy, but I don't think that's very interesting at all. I would appreciate some good ideas.

My 6 year old son is learning his tables but finding it tough going.
He is very interested in using the computer and wonder is there any software or programmes available?
Any other advice on games you can sugest to help generate his interest in the times tables

My son is a good student. He does very well in reading and math but his penmanship is very sloppy looking. He writes almost as if he were in kindergarten. I have him do some extra writing from time to time but not too much. Is there any good resources to help with this problem?
