Hi
My 6 year old son is learning his tables but finding it tough going.
He is very interested in using the computer and wonder is there any software or programmes available?
Any other advice on games you can sugest to help generate his interest in the times tables
thanks

Hey :)

My son is 10 now and the times tables seem (finally) to make sense to him.
I have given you the link to one site below, but I found just practising with him helped a lot. Walking to school and back I would test him, or just chant the tables with him.

Oh and I also stuck one of those posters up in his room, he hated it lol but tough! You'd be surprised how much attention you can pay to something thats just stuck on the wall. The posters are the kind you see in book stores etc.

I used to do this a lot with him too.. for example while cooking... Ok we need 2 chops for each person, 2 for mum, 2 for you, 2 for me, how many is that? Hopefully he can tell you, then you say oh yeah 3 people times 2 chops = 6... 3x2=6. This is just one example, try to trick him into doing sums haha
Best of luck x
