My son was grabbed by the arm, by his head teacher, he was crying and tried to break free, when he got away she grabbed his wrist and pulled him toward her again, can she be allowed to get away with it? every where i look it seems as though she is protected by the law and there is no provision for the childs safety

this projects is very very important as it is for marks. the idea must be appropriate for a high school level and be with in a student's budgit. also when ideas are submited it must have some details on it, because if i like it, i will be able to expand on the project.

How important is it that your child get a proper education? Even if it's public school isn't there things you do at home to help? I've seen a lot of questions like "Why should I send my son to school?" WTF??? It really makes me wonder if there are parents who care about education any more. How do you feel about it?

My opinion is that if something is to be taught in the science classroom it needs to be supported and questioned by evidence.
evolution was devised and is constantly revised by evidence where as creationism has never been supported by any evidence, it has only ever been held up by a book that was written and added to when most people couldn't even read or write let alone question it without the fear of persecution.
How can we expect future generations to further their knowledge and technologies when we have people who have a narrow minded view of which they will not accept can be questioned or proven wrong.
Religion can be used for so many very good causes, but for it to be used to restrict advances is surely against its own tenents.

she can't read...well she can but it's very difficult for her to, also because she's so focused on saying the words and reading she is not getting what any of it means. i think she tries to memorize words so i tried teaching her to soud the words out but she sounds out the letters prefectly fine, but when it comes to combining them, that's a whole other story. PLEASE HELP!! How can I help her?

My daughter is in year 1. She is very very smart - a real super brain, and I feel that going to the local school is holding her back. She has been misbehaving recently through boredom. I am a single mum on benefits, so can't afford for her to go to a private school. What shall I do? We live in Bath, England.
