Not unless the students can pray according to their religious beliefs, christian, jewish, muslim, budahist, pagan, etc. Those that have no beliefs should respect those that do and just observe a moment of silence of to study. There are more religions in this country than just christian after all.

You can pray whenever you like as long as you don't disrupt others' learning. If you mean organized prayer, no. That's what home and church are for.

no...separation of church and state. prayer is for private time, not public schools

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe we would not have so many school shootings if God was put back in school!! I remember we use to pray in school and say the pledge of alligance every morning. I believe some schools still do.
