Of course you can get into Cornell! You may be a lot better at Math then writing, but make sure you wow them with your essay to prove that you have the ability to present ideas effectively. Also, they look for people who are not only smart, but stand out for some reason. Whether that be through leadership activities, community service, athletics, or the arts. And if you are from Alaska or some far away state that could help you stand out from others as well.

There are lots of factors admissions consider.

You need something to set you apart from everybody else. You can have absolutely amazing stats, but it doesn't guarantee that you will get in.

At my high school, 5 people applied to Cornell, the person who was ranked number 35 was accepted, the valedictorian was not. This shows that just having good stats will not get you in.

Do you play any sports? Are you ranked in any thing? Best wrestler? Nationally ranked debater?

Also, if Cornell is your dream school, apply early, if they offer it (I know some schools, such as Harvard, are considering eliminating early decision). This shows that you are interested, so you'll probably have a better chance of getting in.

i don't know how your high school weights GPA, but it must do it pretty heavily. your SAT scores are pretty low for cornell, but it's certainly worth it to apply.
besides, you're more than just your scores. if you're an interesting person with good ideas and talents, you might be just what they're looking for.
