In high school I'm taking french already, my little sis wants to take spanish though, if you start spanish in high school do you start off new, because most ppl don't already know spanish or do you start of at a high school level (the level the french ppl would be at after 6-7 plus years of french)
Thanx

Hi ! i'm french and i teach basic english to children in primary school here in France.
Some of my pupils are learning numbers from 13 to 19...And one of them asked me that question.
I suppose it has something to do with the ordinal numbers "third" and "fifth" but i'm not sure and i wouldn't want to give my pupils a stupid answer...
thanks :-)

We are looking at offering English language and Literature as seperate option choices, at present students have to do both. Is there are research evidence to show that if students do both the effect of consolidation of key skills present in both subjests results in better results in both. Or are students just as likely to get a good grade if they only study the one subject?

I am looking for a short story, poem, or chant to introduce/exhibit the "I have" pattern to an elementary level ESL classroom (as in, I have a T-shirt. I have brown hair.) I don't have access to any English books right now, so a website or an explicit example would be ideal!
