Mozart's Requiem was not complete at his death in 1791.
His pupil Sussmayr gave the unfinished work a ending.
Many consider Sussmayr's ending the best.
Some works known as requiems differ from true requiems.
Brahms's Germa Requiem does not use Latin text.
Brahms's requiem like Rutter's contains biblical texts.

ok it has to be true about you (your life, likes, relationships, etc) and very short, one paragraph. we need to present it in front of the my english/drama class.

my monologue is about my fave sport swimming. this is how it starts: Everybody has a favourite sport. i like biking, volleyball, and diving. but my favourite has to be swimming.

i need to mention that swimming 'speaks' to me, and i knew it did when i started... but also has to be noot so 'dreamy' and potentialistic, because it is suppoed to look like a middle-schooler is talking.

thanks. please no rude answers

I have a teenager,(who left home), that wanted to go back to school so she can run crosscountry and track. (she recieved a diploma from some school on the net) So she enrolled herself in school, but isn't telling that she already has a diploma. this would make her inelligible to run. Do I turn her in? I'm glad she wants a diploma with more substance, but hate that she is lying and can get the school in trouble. I mean we all make decisions we would like to go back and change, but sometimes you cant. I know she changed her mind about not finishing regular school, but she could tell the truth and still go(they just can't get state funding for her as a student), but she couldn't run. I just feel like she is going to learn that "hey, if I want something , I'll lie about it to get what I want, who cares if its right" that's one of the things wrong with society today. I know if she was selling drugs, i'd have no qualms about turning her in. But for some reason this feels different.

A few kids started a small food fight and the whole 8th grade got punished. We haven't had privilages (slushies, vending machines, pizza bar on Friday, ability to go outside) for about two weeks. They have started to slowly give us our privilages back, but there is one group of kids who still won't behave. Also, our principal thinks putting your arm around your bf/gf or holding hands with them is too much P.D.A. The same thing happened last year in middle school when there was a fight. The old principal moved up to the high school when the old one left. Our principal and especially our V.P. won't let us slightly bend the rules and when a few people break a rule, everyone is punished. Is that too harsh?

At my school, we have interims, well anyway, like 4 weeks ago I got grounded because I had an F in bio, well I raised that to a B in a week. and my parents wont unground me. And to top it all off, I have a D in Geometry, only because I was absent the day before a test. So like my teacher is going to let me retake that test, to raise my grade up, but report cards come out this weekend. Well now my dad wants to double secret probational ground me. Do you think thats fair???

I live in a small town about 30 miles east of Springfield, Ma. In my high school, we house grades 8 - 12. If you miss behave you get sent to T.O.R. (time out room). One of the 8th graders has to eat lunch in there. Yesterday, she decided not to. When the police officer tried to escort her back to class, she told him and our principal to f*** off. She got arrested, had to go to juvinile court, spent about 2 hours in juvie, and got suspened for 2 days. Is that punishment to harsh? Shouldn't people be worried about things like a school shooting, not about swearing?

At my school, we have to do one out of expressive arts, art, or design and technology. I chose expressive arts as i was told it was the one to do if you wanted an easy A and to focus on your other subjects.

However, none of the 6th forms seem to have any interest in it, and so i'd like to know if it would be better to switch to Art or tech and get a lower mark, or stick with expressive arts, in which i am predicted an A, or drop it altogether and work on dragging my Spanish mark from a B to an A.

I am doing 10 GCSEs other than my arts course, if this helps.

Many thanks,
Ali
