And to top it all off, I have a D in Geometry, only because I was absent the day before a test. So like my teacher is going to let me retake that test, to raise my grade up, but report cards come out this weekend. Well now my dad wants to double secret probational ground me. Do you think thats fair???

Your parents just want you to understand the importance of getting a good education, which means staying in school, not skipping classes, paying attention in class, doing your homework, and studying for exams. Once you prove to them that you take your education seriously, I am sure that they will "unground" you. Work hard!

What?
This sounds like an overall practice of bad behavior on your part.
If you've got the intelligenge to raise an "F" to a "B", then you've got the intelligence to get "A's".
Stop being so lazy about your education and stop whining about your punishment.
I am a parent and I'd've probably done the same thing. Nothing is more important than your education. Don't throw it away.
You're parents are trying to make you realize that what you're doing is unacceptable. Period!
If they won't unground you, it's probably because of what I said in my opening statement. You've done this before, been talked to and maybe even punished and it hasn't worked. They're just turning up the heat to make you realize it's importance.
Try acting like you've got some sense and do what's right, then maybe they'll feel free to relax.
It's all about your happiness and success in life.
What kind of parents would you think they were if they just let you "slide?" I'll bet you'd be the first to blame them for NOT correcting you, when you find yourself flipping burgers for a living.
Just a thought.

Welcome to the real world. It's called incentive. If you can raise your grade from an F to a B in one week, that means you were goofing off before the F. This is your parents way of instilling a good work ethic in preparation for your future jobs.

Forget "fair". In the real world, there is only "what have you done for me lately?"

Well yeah like totally fair, the dad dude shud do what ever he wants with those totally bogus grades. A smart girl like you like for sure must be like totally sleeping in class to like get such poor grades.

Seriously, if you were my child, I think there would be room to negotiage, however, you would have to learn to talke without using the word "like" all the time.

Maybe you should talk to your dad about his expectations. It seems there are no clear guidelines. If you do ------ you get -------, if not, ------- happens. Have an open, positive talk with him. It sounds like he just wants you to be successful, and it sounds like you are trying really really hard to meet those expectations. Let him know how you feel, don't get into a shouting match, that never works. Tell him how hard you are trying, and ask what he expects from you.

i deffinately don't think that's fair because you are obviously making an effort to change your grades, and you already have, and you are acknowledging the situation opposed to denying it. I dont think you should be grounded at all.

i kinda got the same thing going on... it's a little too harsh, especially 'cause it won't help you do better in school. It might piss you off, but the only one that can make you do better is you.
