My son just started middle school (gr 5) and this is his 3rd schedule. The school has lengthened the day and can't seem to figure it out. Could you tell me if you have had a schedule like this, and did it work for the kids? And where was the schedule used?

The order of his subjects rotate daily, but not always in the same order. The times the classes start and finish are different depending on the day of the week. So second period is 8:10 to 9:03 OR 9:30 OR 8:50. Third period is 9:30-10:10, 9:03-9:56 or 8:50-9:30. A new "el" period for extra help/?? is always the same and lunch is the same, though 1 class is scheduled to start 5 min. before lunch ends. No time is scheduled to allow movement from class to class or lunch to class.

The class lengths are not tied to the subject (ie math is always 45 min) The core classes do not get the same exact amt. of time each week, the greatest difference is 10 minutes.
I am calling the curriculum coord. today.
Your thoughts?
Thanks!

There is regional variation as my parents said a different thing to me . I am from cumbria ( kendal) and we used Skingees. Its a magic word that makes you inivisible from tig for when you need to tie your shoe lace or something so you dont get caught. Anyone else remember this or am i really just crazy? Please post your version and the region you were in when using it .

Im looking for a list of feeling words such as hurt, angry, sad, ect. I am an aid for a set of twin boys with high functioning autism. I was hoping to laminate such a list of words and have it at their desk so thy could pin point their emotions a little better. I have seen lists of feeling worksheets with words that are a bit too advanced. The children read at a fourth grade level. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anyone on here that knows of anyone or who cannot read or write in cursive cursive themselves? This is just a question out of curiosity because lately I've been trying to write in cursive more after years of staying as far away from it as possible. Anyone's answer would be greatfully excepted!

Do you pay a fee to play a sport at your school??

Could you please fill out a survey for me today? I'm writing a paper on "pay to play" and would like to hear from some people around the country. I could email the word document to you- you could answer the questions and email me back? Or i could hop into Yahoo msgr
I would really appreciate it. No viruses or tricks i swear. I go to Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA studying Physical Education.

Even if you don't play but know someone who does, or can answer some of the questions based on your own experience it would be much appreciated

and no, i'm not procrastinating on my paper until the last day, i just thought if i could get some answers it would be cool to add in.....
