AZ. I got a teaching job before finishing my student teaching. I didn't have to sub at all. Typically urban Phx schools begin the school year without enough teachers. Suburban school districts usu. get more applicants.

The average time in Michigan is 4 to 5 years. Some hired, some subbing.
