Best English and History, worst Math and science. I am back in school now and being so bad at math really has slowed me down in my studies.

I was best at art. Every teacher made a big deal of the fact that I could draw very very well, without lessens. They would have me do special projects, while the other students did their normal studies. I hated that! I never learned anything. An example, I would be having to draw a mural 6'x10' of the covered waggons. I quit doing that after one teacher,(while right in the middle of drawing that mural) tried to correct what I was drawing with a felt pen! I was only 7 years old,but I remember what I was thinking. Who gave this person the right to come over and destroy my drawing? Who was she to tell me whether what I was drawing was right or wrong? Did she know what my perceptions where? Did she know how I saw things? I didn't care who she was, she had no right. I finished the mural (half-*** ed), as quickly as I could, and never again let a teacher do that to me. I just pretended I didn't know any more than any other student.I never wanted to be treated special, just wanted to be treated like me.That didn't have an impact on my career choice, but I still get asked to do murals at work, You know, christmas ,and things like that.I dont mind, they pay me, and most importantley, leave me alone while I do it. I work for a moderatley small homecenter.

School was always really easy for me. I didn't really have a bad subject. I do think it impacted my choice of career. I'm now an elementary teacher and I teach every subject.

best: spelling and english
worst: math

yes, def had an impact on my choice of career. didn't go into engineering. preferred careers where writing/typing were emphasized. (for ex., teaching and social work)

My favorite subjects were English and History, my worst was all maths. I guess my lack of math skills effected me continuing school to be an RN.

Keep it coming w/ the great questions! I was always good at spelling in Elementary, which became English in middle and high school. Not surprised, I'm an editor for a popular newspaper in my town. =)
