Is the world full of idiots that truly can"t spell or use proper grammar??

I am convinced it is. Such a sad state of affairs. It seems like half the people on here are illiterate.
Unfortunately it isn't just on here. I have corrected my kids teachers! My daughters kindergarten teacher had two misspelled words on the board: 'Wheelbarrell' instead of wheelbarrow and 'busses' instead of buses.
My sons teacher wrote 'hassel free' instead of hassle free.
I give up.......

Spelling is a matter of sounds. if you say sophmore or sophamore, you will spell it that way. Holyness is an example of ignorance of the spelling rule. Most of all, English is a bastard language because it is inconsistent and has borrowed freely from other languages.Grammar depends on your speech- namely dialect. People are not idiots; they need to be educated about the language and practice the information.
