My daughter's Math and Science teacher routinely misspells words. I don't want to alienate her -- but it really bugs me, as she is supposed to model correct language and usage to the students. Any advice?

What is the point in anything? Like omg, I have no fun anymore and I dont have time to hang out with my friends because I'm so busy doing homework. All I'm gonna be doing this week is working on the 4 projects I have due when I get back to school, and studying for 2 tests that I have next week.

I have 2 hours of homework each night and I also have cheer practice all the time which means I have to get up at like 5:30 in the morning for practice sometimes, and that's like a total waste of time since our team sucks.

And when I get out of high school, the expectation is to go to university, and that's REALLY hard and stressful. And after that comes what? A JOB, and then I would be working like 24/7 trying to earn a living. OMG whats the point in all this crap? I wish I could just go live in some little Italian village on the ocean where people arn't as work crazy as this country is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son choose e.g. ABCDE. He cannot get into A. his points are 240. now he has to try B. will someone who has 239 but has B as his first choice be given the priority or will my son goes to the head of the queue ?

During the first few weeks of class he is asked to participate in a variety of activities, each of which (takes away from) his studey time.
What I want to know is that ,in the parenthesis part, the preposition -from- is right in the sentence. I think that should be removed.

I thought my two kids were terrible spellers. After browsing the questions on here, I might have to reconsider. My two may be just on the verge of genius!

If English is a second language, you have an excuse. Those of us that have English as a first language need to get better at this spelling stuff! Some questions I can't even understand much less answer.

Anyone feel education is heading down the tubes?

When my son finished nursery and went into yr 1 he was put on an i.e.p for his reading, this did help him. He is 9yrs.
He then moved up to middle school his i.e.p had lapsed so a new one was started again, for literacy.
He was bought back up to standard and taken off the i.e.p, but because of problems with bullying i changed his school.
His younger brother goes to a nice little small country school (he is 5yrs) and the reason he went to a different school was because he went to a playgroup within the next village, and so i wanted him to stay with friends!! So now my older son goes to this school, he started there 1yr ago.
I had a parents eve last week, to be told that he is bottom of the class etc and needs to go on an i.e.p
His teacher said she is not happy as she read his file and was unaware of the previous history!!!!!
My son is left handed, has no self esteem, no friends, no concentration, and does not complete work, he gets angry when he cant do the work??? He is 9yrs old

How many times can you get held back in one grade? And what happens if someone keeps getting straight Fs in that grade? Is it true that you can be like 40 years old and still be in 8th if you keep failing it or somthing??
