Little is the correct word, not few!

Few is only used when there are more than one eg FEW people understood your question. Little refers to the smallness of quantity of a single item eg money is a singular noun.

Personally I don't worry about it one way or the other. I've carried zero and used by Debit Card/Credit Card or had 5-10K in my wallet as well. I'd rather have more in my wallet than less because most of the people that get mugged and shot are carrying very little cash. Criminal types get too excited when they hit the mother load and are more focused on that than you.

One wealthy man I knew always carried 10-20K on him at all times. He was telling us about when he got robbed once and he pulled out his honkin' money clip and they were so excited they ran off without even getting his Rolex.

cards are almost always better in usa. Cash speaks anywhere however when cards and card systems don't work. Even when they do a spare $20 or $40 won't hurt depending on your regular purchases. I use debit and credit cards 90% of the time. Safe and convenient. Hides the true amount of money you have on you. Lose the card a quick phone call secures your money. Lose your cash and well, it's lost, probably never to be seen again.

Yeah, join the club. I have a tiny bit more at the bank. Generally though, if I go with a lot in my wallet, I spend it. If I have too little, something happens and I will need it.
