I want to get an Associate Degree in Business Administraion. I chose all my classes and they will meet all of the requirements listed in the college's catalog and requirements for the degree. However, when I met with the counselor, she kept pressuring me to transfer and get my Bachelor's Degree... I am not interested in doing this, and I already am doing Business Admin instead of general so I CAN transfer if I wanted to... But she wants me to take extra harder classes to set up for transfer, she says it will still be only 60 units(amount required for the associate degree)... but it will actually end up being more units... My question is: Should I listen to the counselor even though I don't think I will ever transfer(I work full time, and am getting married within the next 2 years, so the associates is going to take me long enough)?

They're going to be harder because they cover more material in each class.Even though we have 4 discussion classes, we have to take the exams on our own time at the school testing center. Does anybody have any tips so that I can accel?

Okay, I wrote a paper for my friend for school, which I didn't mind doing because she works full time, and has two kids, and she was already behind a little in some of her work. The problem is the professor pointed out some parts that were plagarized. I didn't intentionally do this. I reworded the things she pointed out but the professor said that this is still plagarism. The prof gave her a low grade on the assignment, and now my friend is pissed off at me. She's not worried so much about the grade she said, because she had a pretty high score already in the course, but she's worried that they will kick her out because of this accusation. I told her I didn't think a school would do this without giving a warning first, but I really don't know. What normally happens in a case like this?

I live in texas, Have a BA in Business Administration, Intelligent, confident, still young, 24 and It's been approx 10 mos, Ok I am not sure what job I should be at but I know it's not Where I am working where I barely get 10 bucks an hour. Where are all the opportunities they said I'd get? I applied to many companies and most could care less I have a BA they want experience. This is BS. Seriously. My cousin has a job as an Underwater Welder gets paid 100 times of what I get a week. For all you people majoring in business its all balony, Get a degree in a trade in whatever you want, wish I did the same, least I'd be more happy if I had passion in what I do.

i know a main argument for the debate is going to be that the nations standardized tests do not test on music and physical education therefore making reading writing and math more important or whatever....i just need some information or data backing up against that argument......i need to know why the arts are still important to the standardized tests, and an argument in that general direction or rebuttal to this...i am stuck.....

Is bulimia a good topic to be writing about in a college essay? My mom seems to think its a horrible topic to write about and that colleges will feel liable if something were to happen again. Anyways, so what do you guys think? and how should i go about this essay if it is a good topic to be writing about? Thanks!

Everyone here at the college (well at least all my friends) are stressing out over everything. Yesterday one of them drove off because she just couldn't take it (she's back now and safe). Is this normal for people to get this stressed over college?

I am currently in high school, and I want to major in an art-related subject. I was originally looking for art schools, but as much as I love art, I don't want my life to be set in stone, and I think going to an exclusively "art" school would do exactly that. . I would like more flexibility with job opportunities. Someone told me that in that case, I should look for a regular college with a good art program.

Could you give me a list of good regular colleges (not art schools) with good undergraduate art programs?

Thanks :)

All my life it's been drilled into my head that college = good life. In recent years, I've started to reject this notion, but everyone around me is absolutely convinced that if they go to college they'll have a good future. I'm going through a lot of emotional turmoil right now, so tell me: does college really guarantee a happy and successful life?

I have a passion for both subjects, but I can't do a double major since I also want to take French as a minor (I'm not about to do double major and a minor). I've decided I can handle one major and two minors, so it's sort of like doing a double major thing. Can someone give me some good reasons why I should take either sociology or philosophy as a major, aside from the fact that majoring in philosophy might not provide me as much job opportunities as sociology? I don't care how much more money either major can get me. I love them both equally so I need some pros and/or cons to help me decide.
