Absolutely why not. In fact what you should be doing is asking fro maturity credits to the Post Secondary School you intend. Maybe you will not need to go two years. they may consider PLAR .if you are looking for some great Univeristies that consider this look at Athabasca (http://www.athabascau.ca)
in Alberta Canada.

There are no age barriers as to when you can get your college degree. Go for it!

The best time (if you're currently working) would be in the evenings, but daytime if you're able. You'll just have to deal with the other students staring at you.

Not too long ago, I read about a great-great-grandmother in Australia who is in her 90s and recently got her master's degree in anthropology, so yes, I definitely think that you CAN and SHOULD finish getting your degree. Good luck!:)

EDIT: By the way, my mother is also 55 and she is now attending nursing school.:)

I am forty one and am in school for a environmental Technology degree go for it the young people are quite stimulating
