do they teach all what you need to know about music and then get you signed as an indie band after getting your degree?

i sincerely doubt that they actually have anything to do with you getting signed.

I think you mean Berklee, not Berkeley, which is a branch of the University of California. Certainly, the school is very focused on music and will teach you a lot about the current music scene. As far as teaching you what you need to know, I don't think anyone can guarantee that, since not everyone will need to know the same things, but they can provide a lot of that. I can't imagine, though, that they would get you signed as an indie band after getting your degree. That isn't their role as a university. They may have connections and help you to navigate the process, but they can't guarantee that anyone will sign you. What if you just aren't a good enough band?
