I'm about to start two accelerated telecourses which last 8 weeks. They're going to be harder because they cover more material in each class.Even though we have 4 discussion classes, we have to take the exams on our own time at the school testing center. Does anybody have any tips so that I can accel?

Set up a routine that you can stick to right away for studying, papers, group work, etc. Make sure you adhere to it. Telecourses and other non-traditional classes are successful on your record when you have the personal motivation to complete it. Get all your classmates and teachers contact information in case you are sick, your computer crashes last minute, etc. It has happened to me and your classmates will help you. Good luck, and you will like the accelerated classes-- just when you're getting sick of the class, it's over! :)

As the voice of experience, dont procrastinate. Its easy to do when you dont have to be in a classroom all the time. Make a routine of having a specific time to do your classwork and assignments. When you go to a discussion class, make friends and exhange phone and e mail info. Its always nice to have someone to call when you are confused. Also because the instructor wont really get to know you, you wont get any extra consideration because you are nice, helpful, respectful, dedicated etc. or any reprieve if you have any personal problems that come up. All they see is the exam answers.
