I'm a high school senior right now. I'll be graduating in June. I want to go to college, but I'm considering taking a year off. I just want to get a taste of the "real world", like getting a job and paying bills and stuff like that. But I've been told that it can be hard to get back into the swing of things.

Another thing is, I want to go to college for Creative Writing/Journalism. So this year, I took College Prep Writing. Now, I'm so tired of writing essays. I'm questioning if I should major in that course when a do go to college. Any thoughts?

I am a political science major, and I have been told that statistics is the most relivant math course to take for my remaining required 3 math credits, however, statistics itself is not required, it can be any math class. I have been told that statistics is the easiest course to take, and I have also been told it is the hardest. I am considering taking it as a winter-mester, which knocks out the class in two weeks.... I haven't taken any math past college algebra 4 years ago.

so two questions...
Statistics... easy or hard??
winter-mester... good idea, or should I take it as a full semester??

Thank You!

So I'm currently a full time college student. I'm only in my second year and I already got dropped from a university because my GPA wasn't high enough. So now I'm attending a community college hoping to get readmitted to a unversity.

The problem is, I'm majoring in business however, I can't seem to pass any business classes. So far I've taken economics, and I failed it the 1st time, and I got a D the 2nd time. I took information systems and I got a D in that class. Now, I'm currently taking Accounting and I'm at a D right now.

As much as I want to major in business, is it just not for me? What do you think the problem is? Do you think I'm not trying hard enough? I don't know the feeling of trying hard is but I feel like I do try my best.

Basically I'm just trying to make my parents happy and right now I just feel like a failure. Please help.

The essay is on a philosopher's philosophy. Its around 3 to 4 pages long and its descriptive, so it does not matter whether I agree or not.

I want to go to NC state, but I'm not sure I can meet the standards (GPA and the such). If I don't go to one of the good engineering schools, will that hold me back from getting a job? Also, what are employers looking for most (internships, experience, school performance)?
