You have a decent shot!! I would take the SAT's again to see if you can boost your grade a bit, but everything else is good!

If you have a strong admissions essay, you should be golden!

I'm not sure you'll get in to NYU. Your SAT isn't quite high enough. You should apply if you feel the school is a good fit, but also have some backups.

I think you stand a good shot at Northeastern. I think you may get in there.

Other schools that you could consider include:
- Ramapo College of NJ
- Rutgers
- The College of New Jersey
- Drew University
- Fordham
- Boston College
- Boston University
- Syracuse
- Tufts
- UMass Amherst
- SUNY Buffalo
- SUNY Binghamton
- Hofstra
- Rochester Institute of Technology
- University of Connecticut
- Quinnipiac University
- CUNY Baruch
- Fairfield University
- Providence College
- U Delaware

Some of these are harder to get into than others, but all are about in the right range. All are in easy driving distance of NJ, and actually attract a decent number of students from NY/NJ.

If you keep on this track, you will be qualified to go to those schools. Being qualified and getting in are two different things, though. Top schools reject more qualified students than they accept.

That means you need to do something to set yourself apart. Lots of people talk about outside activities. The problem with them is that they can't really be verified & too many people lie about them. Therefore, you should concentrate on your grades and on your admissions essay.

As for other schools -- try looking at Princeton Review's web site. They have a tool where you enter information about yourself and your desires & it spits out a list of appropriate schools for you.
