I need help finding what and who to write about.
The essay is on a philosopher's philosophy. Its around 3 to 4 pages long and its descriptive, so it does not matter whether I agree or not.

My Options are:
Plato
Aristotle
Socrates
Who should I write my Essay on,and what is their Philosophy?
Thanks a bunch.

Socrates would be really hard to do -- since he didn't publish anything. Plato uses the character of Socrates to pu tout his own ideas -- but you can be sure that they are Plato's ideas, not those of Socrates.

I would do the dialogue by Plato called The Theaetetus. It is about the nature of knowledge. It has the advantage of being fairly short and is also beautifully written. My favorite part is when Socrates uses an analogy of how he practices his mother's profession. His mother was a mid-wife. He explains that midwives have to have had children -- but are now barren. He then explains that he doesn't help give birth to babies -- but to knowledge. Implicit in his words is the idea that he once had great ideas himself -- but was now barren. It is a beautiful dialogue.

Good luck.
