Not at all! I was a chemical engineering student in a University and started when I was 18 and graduated when I was 22 (almost 23), so you'd only be a few years behind.
Also, you'll have to leave your secondary school thoughts behind you...the one that says that an 8th grader must be 13 and a senior in high school must be 17 or 18. When it comes to college, there are many people who take remedial courses, thus take longer, take 4-6 years to graduate, go to grad school (thus are readily around campus and are still students so you wouldn't "stick out" being 21), go into the military first to get money for college, take a year or two off, can't decide on a major at first and take longer, etc.
In my major there was a guy named Steve and he was around 25-30 years old. We just considered him one of the gang when it came to studying and partnering. No problem!
The only weird look you may get is if you live in the dorms. At least at my university, there were mostly the younger folks there while the older were off-campus.
Good luck!

Nope. I'm 27 and live in an off campus apartment with students that are 21 and I have never had a problem. I see older students on campus all the time. Plus you're not a college freshman. Granted the university experience is new and you feel like a freshman, but you're really a transfer student and your class ranking will be assigned by how many of your credits transfer. Also, you're 21... you'll make friends quick. People are a lot more accepting than you may think.

HECK NO!! 21 is young and you can get in to all the places that the other ones can't. I went back to school at 30 as a freshmen!!! I mean i don't live on campus or anything...but most everyone is still younger then me. GO BACK!!!!! And honestly..unless you look really old for 21...you will probably look just like everyone else and no one will know your age!!

You are never too old to start college as a freshman or at any other level. You have a dream, chase it! I did at 35 and it's the best thing that I ever did! Good luck!

No, I am a lot older than you are, and I do not feel you are too old to be a freshman. No, you will not be out of place, there are lots of people who got a late start and you will be surprised to find there are a lot of older people in college. Be proud

No. I think you should go. It wouldnt matter if you were 82. If you want to educate yourself then you should go for it. Who cares what other people think. Colleges are full of old and young people. You will fit in great

No, but if you're in community college now and get your AA(general education), you'd transfer as a junior and not a freshman

Don't even worry about it, there are way older people going to college. My husband went back full time in his 40's.
