If it's a credit based course that is a determinant in your class load status (i.e. adds you up to half or full time status) then it will count toward your GPA at that institution and hence can and will affect any financial aid issues or academic suspensions if you do very poorly. However, when you transfer to a 4 year school they will exclude remedial type courses from your GPA computation which is used as a decision variable. This also holds for graduate level institutions where they pool your undergrad GPA among all institutions you attended. So, bottom line, it wouldn't affect you in the long run.

It wouldn't count towards your GPA at my college. It just allows you to take Pre-Calculus or some other class to fulfill the math requirement.

You should ask your registrar, though. Unless it's a 0 credit class, in which case it won't count, and that's true for every college.

If you are taking it at a college, usually it is not factored into the GPA or its not at my university.

It depends on the school you are going to. Ask someone in your Registrar's office. We can't help you.
