It cost $200,000 for B.A. degree that can get you an extra $1.50 an hour working at Home Depot .

Does anyone actually pay the full price, or is it like medical insurance and W.I.C when the baby formula sells for $29.00 instead of $7.00 because its on Uncle Sam's tab ?

Does the demand out weigh the supply , or is it sort of a controlled pyramid scheme ?

I'm planning, or rather hoping, on transferring to another college. My current college is actually the second one I've been to, having transferred from another one. However, the grades from my initial college were less than spectacular. After a skipped semester filled with reflection, I resumed focus and now maintain a very high GPA. The problem is that now that I want to transfer again to a bigger school, I want to only use the grades which are nice. An acquiantence recommended that I simply forfeit the credits from my first college but did not provide me with further instruction. Does anyone know how I might go about forfeiting college credits?

Last year i was a freshman and i managed to have a 3.8 GPA taking IB classes. i was really discouraged because i didn't make it to at least a 4.0 GPA. My question is is a 3.8 GPA good enough for some of the mid level UC's such as UCI or UCSB?? also i'm in tennis for my hs and in 2 clubs if that helps any. I'm really worried because i worked my butt off in freshman year but it the workload was just too much due to IB.

I went to visit a graduate school(Journalism) and I was so intimidated by the other candidates because I was the youngest one, I'm 20, and everyone else is in their late 20's. Now I am having doubts about going to graduate school right away. Should I work for a few years and then go to graduate school?

I currently have a 3.2 GPA which isn't great and i am applying to UCLA this fall... By spring my GPA should be at least a 3.3 and i will contest with my new GPA . i am a political science major and am doing an internship for senator Barbara Boxer which should look good. I also volunteer for the rotary club. I am slightly worried that my time at community college has not been great. i started with terrible grades, almost all F's... i have demonstrated a great consistent increase in grades which i heard may look good that i disciplined my self. for me the essay is of no concern, i know it will be great. I am just wondering what my chances of getting in are? thanks for your time, its very much appreciated.

What do you think about getting 1 letter from an instructor who is still working on her PhD? I only had 1 class with her but we did a lot of work that is related to my area of interest and I even completed a major project in her class that dealt with my research interests that I hope to pursue in grad school.
The other 2 letters will be from professors who have their PhDs, 1 is a full-time professor, but the other is a part-time. I know you shouldn't have any part-time facutly write letters, but I had him for 3 classes, during my senior year (all advanced courses).
