These journals are supposed to publish papers of good academic quality; they are not supposed to advocate a particular position on an issue. Having said that, if what you are concerned about is getting a paper on same sex marriage published, if it is a well-researched paper, you need to look for a journal in the academic discipline (law, psychology, political science, etc.) in which it is written. My guess is that other than law reviews from conservatively-religious universities, you should be fine.
