I asked earlier "what is the best way to get into a top business school" and my answer was, basically, get into a better school w/ good grades and get a lot of community service/internships.

SO, how can I get my BS, or undergrad, from an Ivy League school starting from a community college in order to increase my chances of getting into a top notch MBA program????

I'm still a freshman that barely completed his first semester and summer w/o any internship/volunteer experience! But I have a 4.0 and I'm Hispanic.....

I'll be attending a community college where I live here in CA next year, but I really want to go to an actual university. I would go right after my senior year is over, but I don't have the grades. So after my two years at the community college are over will I be accepted to a university such as SDSU or any of the other CSU's? How does that work anyway? Thanks for the advice =]

I am 25 years of age and am thinking about attending college to become a Registered Nurse. The only problem is that I am not very well educated at all. I have a 6 grade reading comprehension level. i really can't understand much of what I read. i am not the smartest person at all. I have a learning disability and I want to overcome it soon. Based on what I told you about myself, do you really think that college is for a person like me?

I dropped out of high school four years ago. I have my GED, but that's it. I'm not stupid, I don't think, I just had some rough times.

I want to get into a tier-1 university. Carnegie-Mellon University, specifically, for Cognitive Science.

So, is that even within the realm of possibility? Can universities flatly refuse transfers from, say, community colleges? Is it worth entertaining this as a possibility? What do I have to do?

I am going for Biology but I want to become a pharmacist. I know that they have 6 year programs for pharmacy. My question is should I stay and continue getting my Biology degree when I have possibly 2-3 years left or should I go to a pharmacy school? If I do get my bachelors in Biology will that take off of the 6 years I would have to do in a pharmacy school? Any knowledgable advice is appreciated.

I plan to go to law school but luckily I found a job that allowed me to attend school so I decided to leave UOP and attend California State university.

I will graduate from California State University within 2 1/2 yrs but one question--When I Apply To Law School Will They Look At My UOP Grades? If I were to just send my California State University will they nail me for not sending in my UOP grades?

Are there any admissions officers out there who can shine some light on this issue. Can universities run a search to verify all college/universities attended by any applicant since I don't want to show my UOP attendence which I throw out.

I attended Santa Monica College then transfered out to UOP. But from UOP I decided to re-apply to the California State University...can I throw out my UOP grades?

Im interested in going to school to become an orthopedic surgeon. I've got a 3.96 gpa in high school and want to go to uw madison. I think i should have enough extracurriculars to get in. For this let's assume that I do get in. What are some of the steps that I will need to take to become a orthopedic surgeon and how long will it take. Then how demanding is the work(hours, stress). It seems like a rewarding job but I still wand to be able to do things in life besides work 24/7. Is that possible or would I have to give up golfing on weekends and coaching sports to become a surgeon.

I recently have had a bad couple of years, and have messed up in school. I was wondering if applying to a new university or college, was it necessary to inform them of my past experiences.
