a college that provides accommodations for students with learning disabilities and wont automatically throw me at a community college. If i start i wanna get my gen eds out of the way right away not beat around with uncorrelating courses for 2 years just to be able to take my gen eds. I have a 3.8 high school gpa, was in the NHS,NTHS, and the NSHSS, am an eagle scout and want to become a full time teacher.IAm 20 years old and i took community college courses before and they don't give you appropriate accommodations ( 2 minuets of extra testing time max) and about 7/8ths of all the courses just involve tests (iam a horrible test taker, 1320 sat) The only way I can really do college is if some college unconditionally will take me with the above stated conditions. How do i go about getting a college to accept me without throwing me at a community college first. lam in a bad position , this things absolutely must happen for me to ever go back to college. thats the only way period.

cause the thing is that everybody is telling me one thing n another .. first ..this .."dont go to that school if u dont like it and u dont deserve to go to that college cause you can go to a better college instead of wasting time so its better for you to take some experince for a year and then apply to a better college'' and the other thing is ... "dont waste time just go to college inmeadiately because your going to be lazy if u dont do anything in a year "but i think thats not going to happen cause i want to work during the summer or during that year off and study in an institute to improve my writing skills .. the problem is that my best friends she thinks completely the opposite she wants to go right away to a wack college ( with me) i keep telling her that taking a year off is better then i changed my mind and i decided to go to the wack college with her and now i changed my mind again now i want to take the year off so waht should i do ... did i make myself clear..?.

I'm 21 and going back to college in the fall. My first choice was to go into civil engineering. I don't know anything about engineering, but I do know what engineers do. At least the final product. But I love music. I play the trumpet and I love it. I know that I'd have a hard time making a living unless I was incredible, but it'd still be fun. I'm almost afraid that I'd start looking at music as a job instead of the beatiful talent that I see it as now. I don't want to waste anymore time by choosing a major then not sticking with it, so it's either civil engineering or music. But.. there's nothing to say if I choose engineering that I can't keep playing and loving music...
