you will definitely have to take the GED before you can enroll at a full university.
in the meantime, however, you may be able to take a class at a community college as a visiting student, though that will depend on your state, county, etc.

You can't just skip a step and go on as if nothing happened. While you may be able to take selected classes at a community college (some high schools allow students to do this while enrolled), you will not be able to get a degree or move on to a 4-year university without either a high school diploma or a GED.

beginning at one college and then moving to a diverse became a foul thought for me by way of fact they informed me yea yea yea information will flow, oh yeah baby's Literature will flow, of direction those sort of instructions will flow to any college. nicely those 2 specially and various of alternative others had to be retaken by way of fact they did no longer flow. humorous ingredient is that the classification they positioned me in for those 2 that i discussed have been so so lots less difficult. In my first information type we went in the time of the finished e book in 8 weeks and had a try a week (no notes, books or calculators have been allowed). interior the information type on the college I transferred to, we took an entire semester to flow in the time of the e book and in basic terms had a try as quickly as a month and we even have been allowed to apply our notes and books. Made a B interior the 1st one and an A interior the 2d.

Community colleges have open admissions. That is, if you're 18 then you can get in. No other credentials needed.
