the following are links to schools with programs/majors which would be a great if you want to be a music producer

http://www.usc.edu/dept/publications/cat2006/schools/music/undergraduate/#music_industry

for directing music videos, you'd want to look for schools with "media arts" or "film production" or "cinematography" . . . some schools in NY and FL with these programs are:
Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale
Art Institute of NYC
CUNY: Brooklyn, City College, and Hunter College
Florida Metropolitan College: Pompano Beach, Melbourne, and Orlando College North
Ithaca College
Miami Dade College
NYU
University of Miami
Florida State University
Pratt Institute
Syracuse University
University of Central Florida

i know for a fact that University of Arizona has a fantastic Media Arts program, but it is nowhere near NYC or Florida (however a lot of people from southern California go to U of A and are interested in the music business, so that would provide good networking opportunities)

Music obviously. Maybe some business or stage classes as well. The problem w/ that career is that it is VERY hard to get into, and you need a lot of practical experience, you can't just go to college and graduate w/ a job as a producer.

Your major is much more important unless you're attending an Ivy league school. But, as one of the others pointed out, a random lib arts degree might not get you the best job even if its from Harvard (though you'd probably have a much better chance at landing a writing/editor job with a harvard english degree than one from a random state school.)

Any school that has a strong Arts community is the best school for you. If you're a high school student you should be talking to one of your counselors, but if you're not, then you should pick out the schools you want to go to in those areas and speak to one of the advisers at that college. I do think that NY probably would be better for you because they do have strong Arts community, I'm not that familiar with Florida.
