If your goal is to enter a state university in California, what the community college will do is this:

1) They will enter you in a program where you must take certain classes in order to complete an AA Degree, which consists of 60 credits that an advisor will suggest for you (according to your major)

2)Once you have completed your Associates degree (AA degree) you will be eligible to transfer into the state school of your choice...so long as you maintain the GPA requirements (usually 2.0)... you will have a better chance of getting in a state school, because the AA Degree at community colleges serve as "feeder" schools

For example, if you apply to UCSB from high school and get rejected, you can enter an AA program for the sole purpose of transferring into UCSB, and have a better (usually very good-depending on your GPA out of community college) at getting in....

I live in florida and alot of friends have gone to community colleges (Palm Beach CC or Santa Fe CC) in order to transfer into University of Florida....and id say about 90% of them got accepted

Sure - just do a little checking on one or two things first.

Is the community college accredited by a recognized accreditation agency? If it's a little podunk JC that just started last Tuesday, I'd be a little leery. If it's been around awhile, you're probably safe.

Will the college you ultimately want to attend accept transfer credits from the JC? Call the admissions office of the university or college you want to attend, and ask them specifically. Ask if they will recognize an associate's degree from the JC, if the basic credits - science, math, english, economics, sociology, whatever you can take there, will transfer for specific classes.

Junior colleges are a great deal, if the course work transfers. You can learn basic chemistry, math, english, etc any where. You can go to Harvard and learn it for 4 figures per credit hour, or go to East Dakota Community State College, and get it for $40 per credit. Either way, you'll learn the basics. Just be sure you study hard, and actually do learn them, or you may be lost when you hit the big time.

Why now not take a look at enrolling at Islamic School? So you'll recognize why group tuition is tolerant of all religions. Though the phrase Catholic approach Universal as taken from the Greek phrase Katolos, it does now not quite train what the identify stands for. They are obviously a unmarried dogmatic devout institution shaped to discredit even different religions that suppose of their usual Christ. Like Hamburger Chains, Mcdonald will under no circumstances promote King Burgers product nor Carl's Junior despite the fact that they're the equal red meat or turkey. You are in tuition now so that you need to feel like a tuition scholar.

yes, but you have to get really good grades and distinguish yourself by doing something extra - like internships, volunteering, etc. Also, you'll need great recos from your cc professors. But of course, it can be done! Why don't you try and meet some people at UC who went to cc first.

Community college sucks. You end up living in your mother's basement, no friends, and absolutely no pussy. Go to real college for a true social atmosphere.
