The unit we are learning is water system. The question is here:

1. why should chemicals never be dumped down household and street drain?
Please help me with this.

Chemicals can affect the natural ecosystem. Chemicals, antibiotics, other pills, etc., should never be flushed because the can also affect the ecosystem in ways we don't want i.e, they contaminate our water sources and the creatures that reside in them and drink from them.

Because you'll drink it eventually.

But you should think some more about your statement. Everything is a chemical, salt is a chemical, water is a chemical, sugar is a chemical, HydroFloric Acid is a chemical, Dioxin is a chemical, Uranium is a chemical.

Some chemicals should be put in your birthday cake and some shouldn't. Not all chemicals are bad for you. So you should be thinking about WHICH chemicals are bad to dump down the drain.
