Hi, I am pursuing Master's in Computer Science.
I have been accpeted by Columbia University,New York and by UNC Chapell Hill. Which do you think should I choose.
Please consider the following :
(1)quality of education
(2)reputation and job prospects
(3)Cost of living + studying (In NY I will be staying at relative's house. so living expense is nil)
(4)your point of view on which is a better place to live in
Thanks a million.

I am looking for any input or help anyone can give me while I'm trying to decide which school to go to. Here's a little background info: I'm from LA, will be pre-med, and money is not a factor in the decision. I was originally set on BC, but I've realized it's not as good as I thought, and I also don't want to go to a school with 9000 kids who are just like me. Now I am thinking Cal, but all I keep hearing is how cut-throat the pre-med and science programs are; I don't want to be miserable and/or not be able to perform well in my classes. USC is only on the list because my parents are affiliated with the med. school and they'd like to see me go there (but in the end it's my choice); I've never had any real interest in going there. Also, at least 9 girls from my graduating class of 94 have already committed to USC, and I am looking to branch out. I am just looking for some outside help... I'd appreciate anything you have to say, thanks!

I'm a student at Axia college of the University of Phoenix, this past January I told my academic advisor I wanted to change my major from IT to Criminal Justice. I was told by her that I could not do so at that time because the colleges were transferring over from Western International University to the Univ of Phoenix. They claimed that too much time would lapse between the transfers to keep my financial aid and that I had already taken too many IT classes to transfer. 7 weeks into my next IT class I asked again why I could not have switched explaining that it would not have effected my credits, Studdering she realized she had made a mistake and I could have transferred and she didn't know how she could have made that mistake and would get with her supervisor and would get back with me. Her supervisor said she would gladly switch me to CJ but I have to repay $1700 for the 2 classes that I just completed. Now they are claiming that I did not get back to them to switch. I need a lawyer

I'm in my fourth year of college right now and I already know that I'am not going to graduate on time. I will hopefully finish up next year but I'm too busy trying to pay rent and have a life outside of school. So my question is this, does anyone really finish college on time now these days?

I was wondering if you have to do residency for pharmacy after graduating, like you do for medical school. Or can you automatically work/get a job in a retail pharmacy immediately after graduating from pharm school?

If I majored in mathematics with an endorsement in education plus take all the pre-req for pharmacy school getting my bachelor degree at a community college will pharmacy schools look down on me since I didn't go to a four year university? I am at a four year university now but I rather go back home to the community college because they just started there bachelor degree program this year so that is why I went away the first 2 years. Do you think pharmacy schools will look down on me for going back home to a community college?

Everyone, with the exception of my friends, thinks I'm doing well in school and that I remotely like it. Final exams are approaching within the first two weeks of May and I'm failing all my courses miserably. Each semester I tell myself I'm going to study hard and do better, but I don't and my motivation goes way down. I want to dropout. I don't know exactly how to tell my parents simply because they will freak. The school I am going to is a private school and costing them a pretty penny. They wanted me to transfer badly because of the costs. I had goals, but how things are going I don't know anymore. What's the best way to break it to my parents?
