BU is a well-respected school that is located in an urban area not far from downtown Boston. It is mainly along the Charles river... just on the other side of the river is MIT and Harvard. Several other schools are nearby, so the area is teeming with college students.
BU is somewhat larger than a lot of the schools it competes against, so sometimes the kids there complain about it being a bit impersonal. The dorms and other parts of campus are spread out, there isnt a single central campus like in some schools. There is very good public transit in Boston so it is easy to get around - you don't need a car. You will meet a lot of kids from all over the country, but mainly from the northeast USA. And since it is somewhat expensive, probably most of the kids are from upper middle class or wealthy families. In a sense BU is a safety school for a lot of pretty smart kids who arent quite outstanding enough to make it into an Ivy.
You can get an excellent education at BU and Boston is a great place to go to school.

It's in Boston.
I hear people go to college there, but that's just a rumor.
