I was wondering if you have to do residency for pharmacy after graduating, like you do for medical school. Or can you automatically work/get a job in a retail pharmacy immediately after graduating from pharm school?

clinicals are incorporated and usually is the last year of study in the pharmacy program. but all schools are different. after graduation there is a short wait period to take the NPLEX and law exams for the state you want to work in.. um not sure if i spell the exam's names correctly. once you pass you are licensed and can begin work as a real pharmacist.

Residencies are optional. You can get a job at a retail pharmacy immediately after graduation. You'll have to pass both the MBJE and NAPLEX.
