I am a freshman in highschool who received a B+ (89.5%). My teacher lost an assignment that I _know_ I completed and turned in. Suppose we find it; could the grade be changed? Note that grades have already been turned in, and I should be getting them in the mail soon. If it can't be changed on my report card, will they change it in the computers so that an A goes toward my semester GPA? Thanks for all replies.

I'm just about to start college. But I'm in a huge dilemma on what to do or start with. People just say different things. I like to work hard at things but I'm just really low on math. I want something that requires thinking but nothing that needs math. I would be shooting for a yearly salary income of $60,000-$150,000 a year. I love social work and management. I'm also genuinely interested in business and health care management. So I post this question to people with past experience or anyone educated in this matter. Give me any advice of careers that don't require more than six years of studying and don't require a lot of thinking as well. I'm willing to study something up to 8 years, as long as it's not too hard and doesn't require 24hrs of studying. Awaiting your replies fellows. Have an awesome day/Night.

I sometimes wonder if I made the right decision by dropping out of the nursing program but I really didn't like it. I don't want the liability of hurting someone. What do you think as far as the job market (opportunity and pay) goes between a business major in comparison to nursing major?

The reason why I ask is because I personally noticed if I use the title "Dr." in front of my name (whether stated or written), people tend to treat me better or differently (with more patience and respect) versus if I don't use the title. I truly did earn it but wonder how some people view this. What are some of your opinions? Thanks!

I have demur on my skill after I joined this new company which no one has experience in my area and I need to set up the procedure which I have difficulty in. My superior can't really help me as he is new in this area and I can feel that the person here look down on me and it is difficult for me to continue working here even though I try very hard to pick up. I feel so demoralize if I continue to work here but if I quit, I may not get a job soon and I need to cater for all house expenses and school fee. I need to upgrade to gain more knowledge but If I take up this course, I need ample time to study and can't take up too stressful work....Help!

Should I go for a junior post /part time job and pursue my degree course for three years or should I continue working here..? Do you have any better advise and suggestion for me.

Thanks,
Shane

My father said,
A book costing $5, raised to $6 has a 1 dollar increment.
Therefore every $5= +1
There are 20 ($5) in $100. So 20(1) + 100 = 120

I don't get this.
What does it mean.
If a book costs $4 dollars, its new price is $5 dollars.
If a book cost $128 dollars, what is its new price.
[Shouldn't new price be 129 dollars?]

Is this true? What is my father saying????????????

I am a Softmore, 16 years old. I am a certified Nursing Assistant because I want to become a surgeon in the future. I am enrolled in The National Honor Society. I play football and basketball. I am class president. I have an overall 3.7 GPA. I have not taken the ACT yet . If I get a bad score on the ACT what will be my chances of getting into this college. I think I might get a score between a 20-24.

about my previous post, will uci really be a possible exception? is ucd harder to get into or something? does ucsb look more towards academics than uci? because the rejection letter stated that i was a very strong individual who overcame personal obstacles, however, did not meet the academics...
i just know ucla looks alot at the essay, but im not sure if they still do...i was shocked that i didnt get into ucsb..because i was afraid then my chances for ucla and uci was slim.
ucla is my first choice and irvine is my second.

i would love to hear from both...its really depressing me

The prestigious school is very expensive and I would incur a lot of debt. The cheap school is mid-range in respectability, an average state school, but is cheap and offers a lot of financial aid as well.

I understand that future career (i.e. ability to repay loans and live a good life) has a lot to do with it, but I'm not sure what kind of job I want after school.

I was just rejected from my dream school of UCSB. I already bought a wetsuit, a longboard, and a cruiser bike, so I am devastated. Now, I have to look to Davis or Irvine. I am a bio major and from the S.F. bay area. Can someone tell me some pros about both schools b/c all I have heard of Irvine is that there are a ton of asians and is a commuter school and that Davis is just boring in general. Which school has better parties? Please help me be a little more optimistic about the two schools I did get into. Any ways to cope with the rejection?

sorry if i seem over dramatic, I'm just really sad.
