i am a bio major and i am choosing between these two classes to take in the summer. should i take principles of economics (macroeconomics)? or intro to ethnic diversity? any suggestions?

I suggest macroeconomics. Many schools now require this as a general education course. The macroeconomics might actually be beneficial to you later in life.

Ethnic diversity tends to be a pc class to teach you 'sensitivity' and tolerance. As long as you're not racist and respect all people's cultures and beliefs, there's really no need for it.

I would take economics.
If you need the intro class, it sounds like it would be easier, which would be beneficial to save for regular semester to mix an easy class in with harder classes
