Of course you can, if you can pay for it, then you can go. I went when I was 17 as did many other of my classmates.

In many cases you can take college classes while still in high school (under some kind of dual enrollment program; there's a number of these). Check with the college you are thinking of attending and/or your school counsellor.

But frankly, I don't recommend it. High school will be over soon enough. If you have that much spare time left over and are doing well, take some time to have some fun. College will stilll be there in another year.

BTW--I'm a college instructor/researcher working on my doctorate--and learned a long time ago not to try to push too hard--it doesn't help and you just wear yourself out.

Yes, it is quite common for people to go to college at the age of 17. It is great for your resume. I know because I went at the age of 13 and now I'm a graphics designer for the future PS3 games. One of my favorite projects at the moment is Call of Duty 4 coming out in the summer of 2008. Hope this helped you!

If you will have a high school diploma and you have been accepted to the university, why not? I was 17 when I started college.

Sure, but in a few years you'll miss out on an extra year of going to college bars. You might not care now at 17 but you'll regret it later and wish you had that extra year.

Sure. You don't even have to have a diploma to go to college. It might be difficult though. If you work hard then you can graduate high school early and then go to college.
