I'm researching possible careers right now, and one of my main concern is the salary. How much money should the average person make a year to be able to support themselves independently (car, apartment, bills, etc)? Thanks.

I can't stand semesters. I do, however, know of one university in CA, 2 in WA, and 1 in Michigan that go by quarter. But are there any others?

The geographical subdivision of America is North America and South America. The political subdivision of America is Latin America and North America. Then, why is that the people from the United states call them selfs "americans" and why they call to the US "America".
It is clear that the name of the full continent is "America", and not "the Americas" as many US citizens are used to think.
Can you explain such misconception?

I am currently a philosophy major, who is bored with prelaw studies, so I have decided to not go to law school and just pair my current major with an English Major. Will this take longer than 5 years taking 18 hours a semester and going in the summer? Also, can I teach philosophy and/or english on the high school level with these majors?

I'm getting ready to be a senior in highschool and am thinking about the different options. I would like to go into Diagnostic Medical Sonography which is only a 2 year program, thus the reason why i want to go to a community college. I've made straight A's in highschool and am in honors classes. My parents also believe that a university would look better than a community college and keep telling me i could go anywhere i want. i can't find universities that offer only 2 year programs, which i have tried telling my parents. I have researched colleges that teach this major and almost all of them are community colleges. What do i do? please help!

I am a future freshman at a four year university in California. I am trying to save for books but everytime I ask someone how much I need they always give me completely random numbers. How much do I approximately need to save every semester to buy books if I take around five classes each semester? Thank you!

I`am still wondering up until now if magic and any of that spell stuff really did existed during the middle ages.

The same type of legend also existed here in japan about Occults who worship different animals such as tigers, snakes, monkeys, birds as gods and acquired some unique arcane capabilities.

Sorry for this bothersome question, I`d rather research it by myself but I`am too busy at work to invest time at studying, I was thinking on getting the community`s opinions on this.

As much as possible, please give meaningful answers and not just something to raise your points and reach a level, this is NOT an online game and I sincerely ask if you would answer in an appropriate manner.

Thank you so much everyone for all the informations you can give me and do not even attempt to post a link because I would probably not check it out.

Again, Thank you everyone!
I`am studying Economics and Welfare and Law by the way, dont ask why, I`am just curious about this question^^
